"Curious if you've experimented with wall sconces or pendant lights?"

I've tried pendant lights in my reading nook, and honestly, they're great for creating a cozy atmosphere without cluttering floor space. Wall sconces seem practical too, but wiring can be tricky depending on your walls... something to consider.

Pendant lights definitely have their charm, but honestly, wall sconces don't have to be a wiring nightmare. I've used plug-in sconces before—super easy to install and pretty flexible if you change your mind later. Plus, they're great for renters or anyone hesitant about drilling into walls. Might not look as seamless as hardwired ones, but with some clever cord management, they can blend in surprisingly well... just another angle to think about.

Fair point, but honestly, for me, the visible cords are a dealbreaker. I've tried plug-in sconces before and even with careful cord management, they never quite hit that polished, upscale look I'm after. Have you considered battery-operated sconces? I've seen some pretty sleek designs lately—no cords, no drilling, and they can really elevate the space. Curious if anyone here's had luck with those...

I've tried battery-operated sconces in my hallway, and honestly, they're pretty decent. The newer LED ones have good brightness and battery life. Only downside is remembering to swap batteries occasionally, but it's worth it to avoid the cord hassle...

Battery sconces can really transform a hallway—nice choice. Have you thought about rechargeable batteries? Might save you the hassle of constantly swapping them out, and they're pretty eco-friendly too... Just something to consider.
