I've tried eco-friendly paints a couple times, and honestly, wasn't too impressed. They do blend differently—seemed thinner and took more coats to cover evenly. Maybe it was just the brand I picked, but the finish felt a bit chalky too. Could be worth testing on a small spot first before committing to a bigger patch. Has anyone found a natural paint that actually matches standard textures well?

I've had mixed experiences myself, but honestly, some natural paints have come a long way. A friend recently used Earthborn Claypaint and swears by it—said it went on smoothly and the finish was surprisingly rich, not chalky at all. Maybe the brand really does matter? Also, I noticed eco-paints tend to need a slightly different application technique. Using a higher-quality roller or brush seemed to help get that even coverage without extra coats...might be worth another shot sometime.

Totally agree about Earthborn Claypaint—I've recommended it to a few clients and they've all been pretty happy with the results. You're right about the application technique too; eco-friendly paints often dry quicker, so working in smaller sections helps avoid visible overlaps. Also, prepping the surface thoroughly beforehand makes a huge difference in how smoothly it goes on. Learned that one the hard way...

Haha, same here... spent hours sanding and filling after rushing into painting once—never again. Claypaint's definitely worth the extra prep though; it's forgiving enough if you're careful, but skip steps and you'll notice every little flaw. Also noticed lighting matters a lot with matte finishes like these, especially in rooms with lots of natural sunlight. Anyone else find that certain colors look totally different once they're actually on your walls?

Definitely had this happen more than once... especially with neutrals. Thought I picked a nice warm beige once, but in daylight it turned weirdly pinkish. Learned to always test swatches in different lighting conditions now—morning, afternoon, artificial light at night—before committing. Agree about claypaint too; it's forgiving but only if you put in the prep beforehand. Good luck with your project, sounds like you're on the right track!
