Just redid my bathroom with a vintage vibe, curious if others feel the same about clawfoot tubs

Finally got around to redoing my bathroom and decided to go for that old-school, vintage look. You know, subway tiles, brass fixtures, pedestal sink—the whole nine yards. But the real star of the show is this clawfoot tub I found online. Honestly, I wasn't sure at first because it seemed kinda impractical and maybe a bit too fancy-schmancy for everyday use. But man, after using it for a couple weeks now, I'm totally sold.

First off, it's surprisingly comfy. I mean, I thought it'd be all style and no substance, but soaking in this thing after a long day is like heaven. Plus, it holds heat way better than my old modern tub ever did. Didn't expect that at all.

Cleaning underneath it is a bit of a pain though—dust bunnies seem to love hiding under there. And getting in and out took some getting used to (almost slipped once or twice, lol). But overall, I'm loving the vibe it gives the whole room. Feels like stepping back in time every time I walk in there.

Curious if anyone else has gone down this route with their bathroom? Do you find clawfoot tubs worth the hassle or am I just still in the honeymoon phase here?

Yeah, this right here is exactly why I ended up skipping the clawfoot tub when we redid our bathroom last year. They're gorgeous, no doubt, but I just couldn't get past the practicality issues. Between cleaning underneath and worrying about slipping (I'm clumsy enough as it is...), it felt like too much hassle for everyday use. Glad you're enjoying yours though—maybe I'm just too lazy for vintage charm, haha.
