Funny you mention that—I recently had a site visit at a remote construction area, and the food truck there was cash-only. Had to borrow from a coworker. Digital's convenient, but cash still saves the day sometimes...

Had a similar experience recently—went to grab lunch at a small taco stand near a project site, and yep, cash-only. Had to do the awkward "wallet pat-down" dance before realizing I was out of luck. Ended up driving 10 minutes to an ATM, which felt like stepping back in time.

Honestly, digital payments are great until they're not. If you're traveling or working in remote areas, always keep a small stash of cash handy. Doesn't have to be much—just enough to cover lunch, parking, or tipping someone who helps you out unexpectedly. Think of it as your emergency taco fund...

Credit cards and apps are convenient, sure, but relying solely on them can leave you stranded. A little cash tucked away somewhere safe is still the simplest backup plan.

Haha, I love the idea of an "emergency taco fund." I've been caught out a few times myself—usually at local farmers' markets or roadside stands that haven't quite caught up to digital payments yet. After one too many awkward moments, I started keeping a small amount of cash tucked away in my glove compartment. It's definitely saved me from having to make those inconvenient ATM runs.

Credit cards and apps are fantastic, but they're not foolproof. Power outages, spotty cell reception, or just plain old-fashioned places can leave you stranded if you're relying solely on digital payments. Keeping a modest amount of cash handy has always felt like a sensible backup plan to me. Plus, there's something reassuring about knowing you're prepared for those unexpected situations... even if it's just tacos.

Haha, emergency taco fund... that's gold. I used to think relying on cards was enough until I got stuck at a tiny food truck festival—no signal, no ATM nearby, and the smell of tacos mocking me. Learned my lesson real quick. Now I stash a twenty in my phone case. Digital payments are great, but cash still has its moments. Better safe than taco-less, right?

Haha, smart move stashing cash in your phone case—I do something similar whenever I'm headed out to hardware or supply stores. Cards can glitch or decline at the worst moments, so keeping a little backup cash handy is solid planning. You're definitely on the right track!
