Good points, but honestly, landscaping can be hit or miss depending on your location. I remember when we built our weekend cabin near a busy country road—tried planting thick hedges and trees to buffer the noise. Took forever to grow in, and even then, it didn't fully block out those early morning trucks rumbling by. Eventually went for triple-pane windows, and the difference was night and day. Bit pricier upfront, sure, but worth every penny for peaceful mornings...

Triple-pane windows really made that much difference, huh? Interesting...did you find the installation tricky at all, or was it pretty straightforward? I've heard mixed things about retrofitting them into smaller cabins. Glad you finally got your peaceful mornings though.

Yeah, retrofitting triple-pane windows in smaller spaces can be a bit hit-or-miss. I've seen some installations go smoothly, but others required unexpected adjustments. Glad it worked out for you though—peaceful mornings are priceless.

I've found smaller cabins can be tricky for retrofits in general. A few years back, I helped a buddy install triple-pane windows in his tiny guest cottage. It seemed straightforward at first, but we ended up having to shave down some interior trim just to get a snug fit. Nothing major, but definitely more involved than anticipated. But like you said...

"peaceful mornings are priceless."

Totally worth the extra effort when you're sipping coffee in silence, watching the sunrise through clear glass.
