"battery tech is improving fast"

Yeah, totally agree with this. I've seen huge improvements even in the last year or two. Still, for framing, I'm sticking with pneumatic for now—just can't beat that reliability and power when you're on a tight schedule.

Yeah, pneumatics are still king for framing—hard to argue with that consistency. But gotta say, seeing how quickly battery nailers have improved lately...makes me wonder how long that'll stay true. Exciting times ahead for sure.

Yeah, totally get what you're saying about pneumatics. They've been the gold standard for ages, especially when you're racing against deadlines. But honestly, I've seen some battery-powered nailers in action lately at a friend's renovation project, and they're surprisingly solid—way better than even just a couple years ago. Makes me wonder if we'll all be ditching compressors sooner rather than later... Either way, it's pretty cool watching the tech evolve in real-time.

Yeah, I'm starting to think the same thing. I've been using pneumatics forever, but recently borrowed a cordless nailer for some trim work—honestly, it was a game changer. No hoses tangling around ladders, no compressor noise rattling my brain... just grab and go. Battery life was surprisingly decent too. Still love my trusty hammer for small jobs or tricky spots, but cordless tech is definitely winning me over lately.

I've been leaning the same way lately. Last year, I built a backyard shed and decided to give cordless nailers a shot for framing—honestly wasn't expecting much, but it really surprised me. No more lugging around a heavy compressor or tripping over hoses in tight spaces. Plus, working without that constant racket was weirdly calming... felt like I could actually think clearly for once.

Don't get me wrong; I still reach for my hammer when I'm doing detailed finish work or need precise adjustments. There's something about tapping things into perfect alignment by hand that's oddly satisfying. But cordless tech has evolved so much that it's hard to justify dragging out pneumatics for most projects anymore. Guess it's just another sign of how quickly tools keep improving these days.
