I've actually been thinking about this a lot lately. I picked up a cordless nailer last year after years of dragging hoses around, and it's definitely made life easier for quick projects and tight spaces. But...to be honest, I still find myself pulling out the compressor setup when I've got bigger jobs or longer sessions. The cordless is convenient, no doubt, but the weight and balance still aren't quite there yet for extended use—at least for me.

In terms of whether they're worth the investment, I'd say we're finally getting close to that tipping point. Battery tech has improved a ton in recent years, and newer models seem lighter and more powerful than ever. But price-wise, you're still paying a premium for convenience rather than pure performance. If you're doing detailed cabinetry or trim regularly, then yeah, cordless is probably worth it. For occasional DIY stuff, though, it's still a bit of a luxury.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing—cordless nailers are handy in tight spots, but after a long day of framing or trim work, my wrist definitely feels it. Still, they're getting better every year. Curious if anyone's tried some of the latest brushless models yet...do they actually feel lighter and better balanced, or is it mostly hype?
