Just finished insulating my basement walls—wasn't too bad, just put up foam boards, sealed gaps with spray foam, and then covered it up with drywall. Feels warmer already. But I'm wondering if anyone knows a simpler or better way to do this?

Your method sounds pretty solid overall. I've done something similar in my own basement, but I went with batt insulation instead of foam boards. A few thoughts from experience:

- Foam boards are great for moisture resistance, but honestly, cutting and fitting them can be a bit tedious. Batt insulation was quicker for me, though it can get itchy and messy.
- Spray foam sealing is definitely the way to go—good call there. I skipped it initially and regretted it when drafts started sneaking through.
- Drywall is standard, but I've seen people use insulated wall panels that combine insulation and finished surfaces. They're pricier upfront, but installation is faster and cleaner.

In short, your approach is fine, but if you're looking for simplicity, insulated panels might save you some hassle. Personally, I'd probably stick with what you did—it's cost-effective and reliable, even if it's not the absolute easiest route.
