Mineral wool is a solid suggestion, but honestly, I went with denim insulation for my attic and haven't regretted it. It's recycled, way less itchy, and pretty easy to handle. Sure, it's pricier than fiberglass, but the comfort factor alone was worth it for me. Plus, no more feeling like I'm covered in angry ants every time I climb up there...

Denim insulation sounds like a dream compared to the fiberglass battle I'm fighting right now. Honestly, I had no idea denim was even a thing until recently, but now I'm seriously tempted. The whole recycled aspect appeals to my eco-conscious side too. Sure, it's a bit more money upfront, but if it means no more looking like a lobster after an attic adventure, count me in. Comfort matters, folks...especially when you're crawling around in tight spaces!

Denim insulation does sound pretty awesome, honestly. I went through the fiberglass itch-fest myself last summer, and it was brutal—felt like I'd rolled around in poison ivy or something. If denim had been on my radar then, I might've stretched my budget a bit for the comfort alone. Plus, the eco-friendly angle is a nice bonus. Sometimes spending a little extra upfront saves you sanity down the road...at least that's what I tell myself when justifying purchases, haha. Good luck with your attic adventures!

Fiberglass insulation is definitely no joke—I remember tackling my attic a few years back and regretting it almost immediately. Denim insulation wasn't really on my radar either, but looking back, the comfort factor alone might've justified the extra cost. Sometimes it's worth paying a bit more upfront to avoid misery later...at least that's how I rationalize it too, haha. Good luck up there—hope your attic turns out itch-free and cozy.

Couldn't agree more with this. When we renovated our attic, we went with wool insulation—definitely pricier, but the difference was night and day. No itching, no coughing fits, and it even helped regulate humidity better than fiberglass ever did. Plus, there's something oddly satisfying about knowing your attic is insulated with natural materials...makes the space feel a bit more luxurious somehow. Good luck with your project!
