Exactly this. I've seen cellulose insulation done in a few higher-end homes, and the key is always prep work. If you take the time to thoroughly inspect and seal every little gap—especially around wiring, pipes, and vents—you'll rarely have pest issues. Fiberglass is a nightmare to handle, itchy and messy... cellulose is definitely the way to go if you're careful upfront. Sounds like you did it right.

Couldn't agree more. I remember spending a weekend pulling out old fiberglass from my attic—never again. Switched to cellulose a few years back, and it's been smooth sailing since. You're spot-on about sealing gaps too; prep work makes all the difference. Sounds like you've got it covered, nice job.

Yeah, fiberglass is definitely no fun. I tackled mine a couple years ago and still cringe remembering the itchiness...ugh. Cellulose is a solid choice, but have you looked into denim insulation at all? I've heard good things about it being eco-friendly and easier on the skin. Curious if anyone here's tried it firsthand—seems like an interesting alternative. Either way, sealing those gaps is key; makes a huge difference in comfort and energy bills.

Denim insulation, huh? That’s a new one for me...wish I'd known about it sooner. Just finished up my attic with cellulose last weekend—definitely better than fiberglass, but still dusty as heck. Still sneezing!

Did you find cellulose insulation pricey compared to fiberglass? I looked into denim briefly, but the cost turned me off. Ended up going fiberglass myself—itchy mess, but at least my wallet isn't sneezing...
