Foam board definitely has its perks, but I'd be cautious about relying solely on that air gap. I've seen moisture issues pop up if the attic isn't perfectly sealed or vented—might wanna double-check your vapor barriers and sealing details before committing fully.

Totally agree here—foam board is great, but it's not magic. Had a client once who skipped proper sealing thinking foam alone would do the trick... ended up with mold city. Definitely worth double-checking those details before diving in.

Yeah, foam boards are handy but they're definitely not a cure-all. I've seen folks get a little too confident with them, thinking insulation alone solves all attic woes. Had one homeowner who put up foam boards everywhere but skipped proper venting—ended up with condensation dripping down like it was raining indoors. Not fun at all.

Makes me wonder though, is there a sweet spot between sealing things up tight enough to stay warm and still having enough airflow to prevent moisture buildup? Seems like there's always a balancing act involved. I've heard mixed advice on attic fans too—some swear by them, others say they're just pulling conditioned air out of the house. Curious what people's experiences are with those...

I've always wondered if attic fans actually do more harm than good. Had a neighbor who installed one, and he swore it made his AC run more often. Maybe passive venting is the way to go instead? Seems simpler...

I've seen attic fans work well in some cases, but it really depends on your insulation and venting setup. If your attic isn't properly sealed or insulated, the fan might just pull conditioned air from inside your home. Has anyone checked their attic sealing before installing a fan?
