- I insulated mine with rigid foam too, but honestly didn't notice much difference. Maybe my hatch was already snug enough...
- Curious though, anyone tried one of those pre-made insulated attic hatch covers? Worth the extra cash or just hype?

I went with one of those pre-made covers last winter, and honestly, it surprised me. I thought it might just be marketing fluff, but it genuinely cut down on the draftiness around the hatch. Maybe my DIY skills weren't as airtight as I thought, lol... Anyway, it's not a miracle fix or anything, but if you're still feeling drafts after foam insulation, it could be worth a shot.

I tried one of those covers too after spending way too much time messing around with foam strips and weather tape. Honestly, I was skeptical at first—figured it was just another overpriced gimmick—but it did help noticeably. Not perfect, but definitely better than my DIY attempts (which, let's face it, weren't exactly pro-level).

Still, if you're dealing with itchy insulation nightmares, I'd recommend grabbing a cheap disposable coverall suit from the hardware store. I learned that lesson the hard way after spending an entire weekend scratching my arms raw. Those fiberglass fibers are no joke...

Yeah, learned that lesson myself a couple years back. Thought I could get away with just long sleeves and gloves—big mistake. Spent days feeling like I'd rolled around in poison ivy. Did you find the disposable suits breathable enough though? Last time I tried one, I felt like I was wrapped in plastic wrap... ended up sweating buckets. Maybe there's a better brand out there?

I've tried those disposable suits too, and honestly, they're just not worth it. Sure, they keep the fibers off, but you're right—they trap heat like crazy. Last summer, I switched to wearing a lightweight cotton jumpsuit with a hood instead. Still covered head-to-toe, but way more breathable. Just toss it in the wash right after and you're good. Might not be as cheap as disposables, but comfort-wise, it's a game changer...
