"just lit an incense stick on a breezy day and watched how the smoke moved around the attic"

Ha, clever trick—I did something similar but used a cheap smoke pencil from Amazon. Same idea, less Zen vibes. Definitely beats crawling through itchy fiberglass for hours...

I went even cheaper—just grabbed a dollar-store candle and watched the flame flicker. Not as precise as your smoke pencil, but it got the job done without me itching for days. Fiberglass insulation is no joke...

Yeah, candles can definitely work in a pinch. I've done something similar with incense sticks before—cheap, easy, and smells better than fiberglass dust. But honestly, even with these tricks, sometimes there's no avoiding the itchiness completely. Ever tried baby powder on your skin beforehand? Sounds weird, but it actually helps keep the fibers from sticking as much...just a thought.

Baby powder does help a bit, but honestly, have you tried just using painter's coveralls? They're cheap enough at hardware stores and keep most of the fibers off your skin. Still itchy around the wrists sometimes though...

- Painter's coveralls are a solid suggestion—cheap and effective.
- For wrists, try taping the cuffs with painter's tape. Sounds odd, but it works.
- Been there myself... insulation itch is no joke. You're on the right track though, hang in there.
