Honestly, I think durability outdoors might depend more on material choice and UV resistance rather than just casting vs injection molding methods...

Yeah, I've noticed that too—had a couple injection molded garden chairs crack right along the seams after just one harsh winter. Like you said, seems like it's more about UV resistance and plastic quality than the molding method itself...maybe additives or coatings matter more?

I've had similar experiences with outdoor furniture. Bought some budget-friendly injection molded chairs a few summers back—looked great at first, but after a year of sun exposure, they got brittle and started cracking. Meanwhile, my neighbor has these older cast resin chairs that seem indestructible. Makes me think you're onto something with the additives or coatings idea...maybe UV stabilizers or protective finishes are the real heroes here, not just the molding method itself?

I've seen similar issues, but honestly, I've had injection molded chairs last years without cracking. Could it be more about the quality of the plastic itself rather than just UV stabilizers or coatings? Maybe cheaper plastics degrade faster regardless of additives. Curious if anyone's compared higher-end injection molded furniture to cast resin in similar conditions...would be interesting to see if there's still a noticeable difference.

I've wondered about this too. When we moved into our new place, we splurged a bit on higher-end injection molded patio chairs, and honestly, they've held up surprisingly well through two summers now. But my neighbor's cast resin set seems equally solid. Makes me think it might be less about molding method and more about the actual resin quality or additives used. Has anyone noticed if certain brands or price points consistently hold up better outdoors?
