I've been trying to lower my water bill lately, and honestly, it's easier than I thought. Started timing my showers (yeah, sounds lame but it works), put a bucket in the shower to catch extra water for plants, and fixed a dripping faucet. Anyone got smarter hacks?
Totally agree with timing showers, makes a surprising difference. Another easy one: swap out showerheads and faucets for low-flow models. Barely notice the pressure change, and savings add up quicker than you'd think.

I've had mixed experiences with low-flow showerheads, honestly. Some models are surprisingly good, but others... not so much. Had one installed in my guest bathroom, and a friend visiting actually joked it felt like "showering under a watering can." 😂 Ended up switching it out because I felt bad.
A different approach I've found useful is just fixing minor leaks promptly. Seems obvious, but you'd be shocked how much water a tiny drip wastes over time. Also, if you're watering plants or gardening, collecting rainwater in barrels can really cut down usage without sacrificing comfort indoors.
Timing showers is great thoughβdefinitely helps being mindful of water use without feeling too restrictive.
