If your sprinklers knew the forecast, would you trust them?

I've been thinking about how much water gets wasted when my sprinklers kick on right before a storm hits. Like, imagine if your sprinkler system could actually check the weather and decide "nah, it's gonna rain later, I'll skip today." Would you feel comfortable letting it make that call? Or would you still wanna double-check yourself, you know, just in case the tech gets it wrong? Curious how much trust people have in smart systems like this.
