Sidewalk tiles that look nice but are a pain to walk on

My apartment complex recently redid all the sidewalks with these fancy decorative tiles. At first glance, they look pretty cool - like something you'd see in a trendy shopping district or something. But after walking on them for a couple weeks, I'm kinda annoyed. They're uneven, and some of them wobble just enough to make you feel like you're gonna trip every other step. Plus, when it rains, they're slippery as heck.
I mean, I get wanting things to look nice and all, but shouldn't functionality come first? I almost twisted my ankle yesterday carrying groceries because one tile shifted under my foot. Maybe I'm just clumsy or picky or whatever...but does anyone else have these decorative sidewalk tiles where they live? Are yours as annoying as mine or am I just unlucky here?

You’re not being picky. A tile that shifts underfoot is a real trip hazard, especially when you’re carrying groceries. Individual pavers can wobble when the bedding layer, base, or edge restraint isn’t holding them properly, and the usual repair is to lift the affected unit and reset the base underneath it.
The slipperiness is worth reporting too. Decorative surfaces can look great, but the finish needs to provide enough traction when wet. Your complex should inspect the loose sections rather than treating it as normal wear.
Resetting the base can fix one isolated loose paver, but it isn’t usually the answer when multiple tiles keep shifting. Movement across several spots can point to a poorly compacted subgrade, inadequate drainage, or water weakening the bedding layer. In that case, lifting one tile and adding material is likely to be a temporary patch.
For a walkway with recurring movement, the repair should include checking the slope, edge restraint, and compacted base assembly before resetting the surface. Wet slipperiness is a separate traction issue, though standing water can make both problems worse.
