Interesting point about Wi-Fi quality... hadn't really thought of that. But honestly, I've seen some bulbs that just seem glitchy no matter what. Maybe it's brand-specific? Curious if anyone's noticed certain brands being more reliable than others.

Definitely noticed some brands being way more stable than others. Here's what I've seen in my experience:

- Philips Hue: Pricey, but rock solid in terms of reliability. I've had mine for about three years now—never had a single bulb disconnect randomly or fail to respond. Setup was straightforward, and updates are pretty seamless too.

- TP-Link Kasa: Decent mid-range option. Most of the bulbs are reliable, but I've had a couple that would occasionally lose connection and need a quick reset. Nothing major, but slightly annoying when it happens.

- Wyze bulbs: Honestly a bit hit or miss for me. Great price point and good features, but I've seen them randomly disconnect from Wi-Fi more often than I'd like. Updating firmware helped somewhat, but they're still not as reliable as my Hue bulbs.

Also worth noting—sometimes bulbs glitch out if they're installed in fixtures with dimmer switches (even if you're not actively dimming them). Learned that one the hard way after troubleshooting for hours... Swapped out the dimmer switch for a regular one and suddenly no more glitches.

So yeah, I'd say brand definitely matters, but so does installation setup and compatibility with your existing hardware.

Glad I'm not the only one who ran into this! Took me forever to figure out why my bulbs kept flickering randomly. I had TP-Link Kasa bulbs that were pretty solid overall, but man, the dimmer switch thing drove me nuts until I swapped it out. Smart bulbs are great, but little compatibility quirks like that can really test your patience...

Yeah, dimmer switches can be tricky with smart bulbs. Even if you're not actively dimming, they still mess with the voltage, causing flickers or weird glitches. Usually better off swapping to a regular switch or getting bulbs specifically rated for dimmers... saves a headache later on.

Had the same issue in my office—thought I could get away with leaving the dimmers in place, but nope. Ended up swapping them out. Wonder if manufacturers will ever sort this compatibility mess out...
