I've noticed buzzing issues too, but honestly, I'm not convinced brand matching is always the fix. When I did my place, I found that certain dimmer switches—no matter the brand—just didn't play nicely with specific bulb wattages or types. Lower wattage bulbs seemed more prone to buzzing, especially when dimmed way down. Took a bit of trial and error to figure out a combination that stayed quiet. Might be worth experimenting with wattages first before swapping brands entirely...

Definitely agree—matching brands isn't always the silver bullet. In my experience, buzzing often comes down to compatibility between dimmer technology (like TRIAC vs ELV) and bulb type (LED vs incandescent). LEDs, especially cheaper ones, can be finicky at low dimming levels. I found that opting for bulbs specifically labeled as "dimmable" helped significantly. Also, checking the dimmer manufacturer's compatibility list saved me a ton of guesswork. It's tedious, but worth it to avoid that annoying buzz...

Good points there, but sometimes even the "dimmable" label isn't enough. Had a similar issue myself—ended up swapping my TRIAC dimmer for an ELV one, and the buzzing vanished completely. Might be worth experimenting if you're still stuck...

Interesting point about the ELV dimmers. Hadn't thought much about the dimmer type until recently, but your experience lines up with mine. A while back, I was setting up lighting in a small conference room at our office. We went with LEDs labeled as "fully dimmable," but still got that annoying hum at lower brightness levels. After some digging around online and chatting with an electrician friend, we realized the dimmer itself was the culprit—not the bulbs.

Switched out our standard TRIAC dimmer for an ELV model, and it made a huge difference. Buzzing disappeared completely, and the lights dimmed smoothly without flickering or weird color shifts. It was surprising how much of an impact something as simple as changing the dimmer type could have on overall lighting quality.

Your suggestion to experiment is spot-on. Sometimes it's just trial and error until you find the right combination of bulbs and dimmers that work together seamlessly. Lighting can be deceptively tricky—labels don't always tell the full story, unfortunately.

Glad to see others sharing these experiences; it helps knowing you're not alone when troubleshooting these seemingly minor (but actually pretty frustrating) issues...

Funny how these little details make such a difference. I was pretty skeptical myself at first—figured it was just marketing hype—but swapping to ELV dimmers really did clear up the buzzing in my home office. Guess sometimes the hype is legit... who knew?
