Totally relate to the Wi-Fi bulb frustration—went through weeks of troubleshooting myself. Good call on switching to Zigbee; I've heard Tradfri setups are pretty solid. Indirect lighting does seem gentler overall, maybe less heat buildup or something? Still figuring out my own workspace lighting, but it's encouraging to hear you're getting good results with your tweaks. Keep experimenting...it'll pay off eventually.

Indirect lighting definitely softens shadows and reduces glare, making the space feel more comfortable over long hours. Curious—have you noticed any difference in eye strain or fatigue since switching setups?

Indirect lighting really does make a noticeable difference. I switched to indirect setups in my home office about six months ago, and the change was subtle at first, but after a few days I realized how much calmer the space felt. Before, I'd get these harsh shadows on my desk that made reading documents or sketching out plans kind of annoying. Now, everything feels softer and easier on the eyes.

Yeah, that's definitely part of it too. Direct lights always seemed to radiate heat right onto my workspace, especially during longer sessions. With indirect lighting, the room stays cooler overall, which is a nice bonus I didn't even anticipate.

If you're still tweaking things, you might try experimenting with different bulb temperatures too—warmer tones can add a cozy feel, while cooler ones might help with alertness. Took me a bit of trial and error to find my sweet spot...but totally worth it in the end.

Indirect lighting is such a game changer, honestly. I switched over about a year ago after realizing my overhead lights were giving me headaches by mid-afternoon. Didn't even connect the dots until I visited a friend's place with softer lighting and noticed how relaxed I felt there. And yeah, totally agree on the bulb temperature thing—warm bulbs made my office feel cozy but sleepy, so I settled on something neutral-ish. Took some experimenting, but now it's perfect...and no more afternoon headaches either.

Indirect lighting sounds nice, but doesn't it make your workspace feel a bit too dim sometimes? I've tried softer lighting in my home office, and while it definitely reduced eye strain, I found myself squinting at paperwork or detailed tasks. Maybe it's just me, but I ended up needing a desk lamp anyway. Curious if anyone else had trouble balancing comfort with visibility...
