Totally get it—people underestimate how much subtle lighting tweaks can impact productivity. I've seen clients regret relying solely on overhead fixtures. Task lighting isn't just decoration, it's a necessity for detailed work... glad you found a fix that works.

Couldn't agree more about task lighting. When we redid our home office, I initially thought the overhead lights would suffice, but after a few weeks, my eyes were strained and headaches became frequent. Adding a simple adjustable desk lamp made a huge difference—less fatigue, better focus, and overall comfort. Glad you found something that works well for you; it's amazing how small adjustments can significantly boost productivity and comfort.

Task lighting definitely helps, but another quick tip is to layer your lighting setup—think ambient, task, and accent. First, keep your overhead (ambient) lighting soft and diffused to avoid harsh shadows. Then, like you did, add adjustable lamps for focused tasks. Finally, if you're feeling fancy, a subtle accent light behind your monitor or shelving can reduce eye strain by balancing brightness levels in your peripheral vision. Small tweaks like these really add up... glad you're seeing improvements already.

Totally agree about layering lighting—makes a huge difference. Have you noticed if the color temperature of your bulbs affects your comfort level? I switched from cooler daylight bulbs to warmer ones, and it felt way easier on my eyes, especially during late-night work sessions. Also, curious if anyone's experimented with dimmers for their ambient lighting... I installed one recently, and it's been surprisingly helpful. Being able to adjust brightness depending on the time of day or task has really improved my workspace vibe. Small changes like these seem minor at first, but they really do add up over time.

Warmer bulbs definitely help with eye strain, but I've found dimmers can sometimes make things trickier. When I dim lights too much, I catch myself squinting or leaning closer to the screen without realizing it... anyone else notice that? Maybe it's just me needing better glasses, haha.
