Just don’t trust your memory... mine’s failed me more than once when a lender calls.

That hits home. I’ve tried to “just remember” a few times and, yeah, it never ends well. Buildertrend’s been a lifesaver for me too, even if the setup is a bit of a pain at first. I still keep a backup in Google Sheets for peace of mind. It’s not glamorous, but it works when things get hectic. You’re definitely not alone—keeping track of all those moving parts is no joke.

Honestly, that’s the key—whatever keeps you sane when the paperwork piles up. I’ve tried a few fancy apps, but sometimes a simple spreadsheet just feels more reliable. You’re right, “just remembering” is a gamble I’ve lost too many times. There’s no shame in double (or triple) tracking if it helps you sleep at night.

Couldn’t agree more. I used to think I’d remember every payment, but after missing a draw deadline once (and getting hit with a late fee), I started keeping a color-coded notebook *and* a spreadsheet. It might look a little overboard, but honestly, the peace of mind is worth it. Fancy apps are cool, but when my phone dies or glitches out, pen and paper never fail me. Sometimes old school just wins.

I totally get the appeal of color-coding—my brain basically runs on sticky notes and highlighters. But I have to admit, I’m a little too reliant on my phone reminders. The idea of a physical notebook sounds great until I misplace it under a pile of fabric samples... How do you keep your system organized when things get hectic? Or do you just have a secret stash of backup notebooks?

Title: Keeping Track Of Your Construction Loan Payments Without Losing Your Mind

Honestly, I’ve tried both—apps and the old-school ledger. When things get busy on site, my phone’s usually buried under dust or I forget to charge it. But paper’s not perfect either... I’ve definitely lost a notebook or two in the truck. What’s helped is keeping a single spiral-bound pad that never leaves my work bag, plus snapping pics of each page with my phone when I remember. Not foolproof, but at least if I misplace one, I still have the other. Anyone else juggle both like this?
