Construction's done, now what—stick with builder's lender or shop around?

We had a similar experience—almost went with the builder's lender because the incentives looked great on paper. But once we dug into the fine print and compared rates elsewhere, we realized we'd save more long-term by shopping around. Definitely worth the hassle...

Did you find the shopping around process pretty straightforward, or was it a bit of a headache? We're just wrapping up our build and I'm debating whether it's worth diving into all that paperwork again... I mean, saving money long-term sounds great, but how much hassle are we talking here? Any tips on making the comparison easier would be awesome.
