Funny you mention the brushed nickel—had a client once who swore it was “the one” until we saw it under their under-cabinet lighting. Suddenly, it looked almost greenish. It’s wild how much context matters. You’re totally right about checking at different times of day, too. I’ve even seen paint that looks warm beige in the morning and goes full-on gray by evening. Lighting’s a sneaky thing... but catching those shifts early saves so many headaches (and arguments) down the line.
