Anyone else feel awkward talking to their TV?

Totally get it—voice commands felt super weird to me at first too. But honestly, when you're juggling paint cans or furniture, it's a lifesaver. A few weeks ago, I was rearranging a client's living room and had my hands full with this massive vase—no way could I grab the remote. Voice control saved me from dropping (and breaking) something expensive. Sure, it still feels kinda silly sometimes, but practicality usually beats awkwardness in my book.

Felt awkward at first too, but once I started setting up my smart lights and thermostat, voice commands became second nature. Just give it some time—soon you'll wonder how you ever managed without it...

Totally get what you're saying. Did you find it weird at first because it felt like talking to yourself, or was it more about feeling self-conscious around others? For me, it was definitely the latter—felt super awkward giving commands when friends were over. But honestly, once I realized how convenient it was to dim lights or adjust the thermostat without getting up from the couch, I stopped caring. Now it's second nature, and guests usually end up impressed rather than weirded out. Have you tried setting up routines yet? Like having your lights dim automatically when you start a movie or your thermostat adjusting itself when you're heading home from work... those little things really make the whole smart-home thing feel seamless and less awkward.

Totally relatable—I remember feeling a bit silly telling my TV to "pause" mid-movie night... but honestly, now it's just part of the experience. Routines really do help, especially if they're subtle and intuitive.

Haha, yeah... I still feel kinda goofy sometimes. Like the other night, my TV misheard "volume down" as "power down," and everything just shut off mid-scene. Friends got a good laugh out of it though, so there's that!
