If you had to rig up your own home security on a tight budget, what would you do?
Totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve done similar - cheap cameras, motion lights, and I swapped out the screws in my door strike plates for longer ones. Makes a big difference for a couple bucks. The fake sign’s not overkill, either... sometimes just looking like you’ve got security is half the battle. Only thing I’d add is trimming back bushes near windows - no sense giving someone a place to hide.
