Have you checked if your thermostat has occupancy sensors or geofencing options? Mine was acting similarly confused whenever we broke routine (which is pretty often, tbh). Once I enabled geofencing, it started adjusting better when we randomly left the house. Still not perfect, but way less "why is it freezing in here?" moments. Maybe worth a look into your settings...or just accept that smart tech isn't psychic yet.

Mine was doing something similar until I discovered the occupancy sensors hidden in the settings. Made a noticeable difference, especially on weekends when we're in and out at random times. Still not foolproof, but hey, fewer surprise Arctic expeditions in the living room...I'll take it.

Haha, I can definitely relate to that! Occupancy sensors can be a game changer, but they're not always perfect. One thing we've found helpful in our builds is pairing occupancy sensors with geofencing through your phone. That way, the thermostat gets a heads-up when you're heading home, reducing those chilly surprises. It takes a bit of tweaking, but once dialed in, it really smooths out the comfort levels—especially on those unpredictable weekend schedules.

We've tried geofencing too, but man, sometimes it feels like my phone thinks I'm halfway across town when I'm just grabbing mail at the end of the driveway...lol. I agree though, once you get everything adjusted right, it's pretty sweet. Still, nothing beats a trusty backup schedule—just in case tech decides to take a coffee break and leave the house feeling like the North Pole again.

Yeah, geofencing can be a bit flaky sometimes. Reminds me of when my thermostat decided I was out of town while I was just mowing the backyard...came back inside to an icebox. Curious, anyone found certain brands more reliable than others?
