"It definitely feels great, but honestly, it's taken a beating from our rolling chairs and my kids' art projects (paint splatters, anyone?)."
Haha, yeah cork can be tricky like that... comfy but sensitive. Bamboo's been fantastic in my experience—holds up surprisingly well to pets and kids. But heads-up: bamboo quality varies a ton depending on the manufacturer. I've seen some cheaper stuff scratch super easily. Definitely worth doing your homework before diving in, especially with dogs doing laps around the house... 😉
Haha, bamboo's definitely a mixed bag. We put it in our kitchen thinking it'd be bulletproof, but turns out our golden retriever's nails had other plans... Still, gotta admit it handles spills and kid chaos better than cork ever did.
"paint splatters, anyone?"
And speaking of paint splatters, anyone else notice how those "eco-friendly" paints sometimes chip faster? Makes me wonder if durability gets sacrificed for fewer VOCs...

I've noticed that too—had a client recently who chose an eco-friendly paint, and within months we were touching up scuffs and chips. Makes me wonder if it's the formula or just certain brands cutting corners... Has anyone found a low-VOC option that's genuinely durable?
Had a similar experience when we redid our mudroom—went with a popular low-VOC brand thinking it'd hold up to daily wear. Within weeks, backpacks and shoes had left noticeable marks. Ended up repainting with Benjamin Moore Natura, and honestly, it's held up surprisingly well. Not bulletproof (what is?), but definitely tougher than most eco-friendly options I've tried. Might be worth checking out...

Glad to hear Natura worked out for you! We went down a similar path—tried a budget-friendly low-VOC paint in our hallway, thinking we'd save some cash and still be eco-conscious. Nope, big mistake. Within days, fingerprints and scuffs everywhere...looked like a crime scene of tiny hands and muddy paws. Eventually switched to Natura too, and it's been a lifesaver. Not indestructible, but at least I don't cringe every time someone brushes against the wall now. Lesson learned the hard way, haha.
