I've noticed the same thing—my phone assistant struggles if there's any background noise, especially when I'm cooking or have music on. Dedicated speakers seem way better at filtering that stuff out... probably because they're designed specifically for voice commands. Still, convenience usually wins for me too.

Yeah, totally get what you're saying. I've had the same frustration—my phone assistant gets all confused whenever I'm doing dishes or have the TV on. But honestly, dedicated speakers can be pricey, and for me, it's hard to justify spending extra when my phone already does most of what I need. Convenience and budget usually win out, even if it means repeating myself a couple times... guess that's just the trade-off we make.

- Fair point about the budget, but honestly, dedicated speakers aren't always that pricey anymore. Plenty of decent options now under $50 if you look around.
- Plus, phones are great until your hands are wet or messy—then you're stuck yelling across the room or drying off just to change a song.
- I was skeptical too, but after grabbing a cheap smart speaker on sale, it's been way less hassle in the kitchen. Might be worth reconsidering...

I get the convenience factor, but do you find the sound quality decent enough on those cheaper smart speakers? I grabbed one on sale last year—thought it'd be great for cooking and stuff—but honestly, the audio was kinda tinny. Ended up going back to my old Bluetooth speaker paired with my phone. Maybe I just picked a dud though...are there specific brands or models you've found that actually sound good at that price point?
