Things I wish I knew before buying a home warranty

Not sure what else a washing machine is supposed to do except wear out over time, but apparently that’s not their problem.

That line cracked me up because it’s so true. I’ve run into the same nonsense with my water heater—“normal wear and tear” was apparently a dealbreaker, which makes zero sense. I’ve found that just setting aside a “stuff breaks” fund works better than fighting these companies. Honestly, half the time I’d rather just fix it myself than wait for someone who may or may not show up in a landscaping truck...
