I get your point about verifying directly, but isn't it also possible that phone calls can lead to confusion too? I've had situations where city staff gave conflicting info depending on who answered the phone. Maybe the real issue isn't online vs. phone, but how frequently these databases are updated and maintained. Wonder if there's a better way cities could streamline updates so we're not stuck double-checking everything all the time...

Totally agree with this—I've seen outdated info linger online for months. Cities could def streamline updates better. Maybe a centralized system? Would save us all from playing detective every time we check easements...

Centralized sounds good on paper, but who's footing the bill for that upgrade? I mean, cities aren't exactly swimming in extra cash these days... Also, would they actually update it regularly, or would we just end up with one big outdated mess instead of several small ones?

Yeah, good point—city budgets are already stretched thin, aren't they? Even if they did scrape together the funds for a centralized system, how long before it's outdated again? Feels like tech moves faster than local government ever can...

Yeah, that's a fair concern—local governments usually aren't built to keep pace with tech trends. When I was researching easements before building my place, I noticed how quickly online resources became outdated or inconsistent. Even the county's official maps were sometimes behind recent developments. It seems like a collaborative approach between local authorities and private tech companies might help bridge that gap...though I'm not sure how feasible that is budget-wise.
