Totally agree—ventilation gets missed way too often. I’d also look at how your new roof will impact the interior. Had a client swap to a dark metal roof and suddenly their upstairs felt like a sauna, even with decent insulation. If you’re in a sunny area, lighter colors can help keep temps down inside. And yeah, those synthetic underlayments are a game changer... felt just doesn’t cut it in humid spots.
