What if your city paid you to use less water?

Imagine the city rolled out a deal where you get cash back for swapping to drought-friendly landscaping or installing low-flow toilets. Would you actually go for it, or is the hassle not worth the savings? I keep thinking about my yard, but I’m not sure if I’d miss the grass... anyone else torn?

It’s wild how much of a puzzle those old plumbing systems can be. I’ve run into similar issues, especially when you’re trying to upgrade for efficiency but the existing setup just won’t cooperate. I get that small fixes like aerators or adapters help, but sometimes it feels like putting a Band-Aid on a bigger problem. Do you think cities ever consider offering more hands-on support for these older homes? Rebates are nice, but they don’t always address the real barriers.
