Totally agree on pushing for specifics—saved me a headache or two as well. But sometimes even the detailed breakdowns can feel overwhelming if you're not sure what to look for. I remember one lender sent me this massive PDF full of jargon, and I spent hours googling terms just to make sense of it all. Do you guys think lenders intentionally make these docs confusing, or is it just the nature of the beast?

Honestly, I doubt lenders intentionally try to confuse us. Sure, the jargon-heavy docs are a pain, but it's probably more about legal compliance and covering their bases than deliberate confusion. I've dealt with contractors who send me overly technical specs too—it's not to trick me, just industry habit. Best bet is to find someone willing to walk you through it plainly; if they can't simplify it, maybe they're not the right fit...
