I get what you mean about less clutter making a place feel bigger, but I’ve actually found the “box it up and wait” thing just drags out the decision. Honestly, I’d rather just live with the stuff for a while and see what I actually use. Sometimes I’ll think I’m over something, then a project pops up and I’m glad I kept it. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t mind a bit of organized chaos if it means I’ve got what I need on hand.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’ve found if I keep everything “just in case,” it piles up faster than I realize. I started forcing myself to let go of things I hadn’t touched in a year, and honestly, I haven’t missed much. Sometimes less really does feel like more, at least for me.

Visualizing my space made me realize how much stuff was just taking up air, not serving any real function. I used to keep old electronics and random kitchen gadgets “just in case”... but honestly, once I cleared them out, airflow improved and cleaning got way easier. Less clutter means fewer dust traps and more room for energy-efficient upgrades.

Funny how much “just in case” stuff piles up, right? I’ve seen it a hundred times when folks want to remodel—half the battle is convincing them to let go of things they haven’t touched in years. Once that clutter’s gone, you can actually see the bones of the space and start dreaming up cool changes. I swear, even swapping out bulky furniture for something lighter makes a room feel like it doubled in size. It’s wild how much your environment affects your mood and creativity.

- Not sure I buy into the whole “get rid of everything” mindset. Sometimes you actually need that random cable or extra chair.
- But yeah, seeing a space cleared out does make it easier to figure out what’s possible.
- Swapping heavy furniture for lighter stuff—totally agree, it changes the vibe.
- Ever run into those moments where you regret tossing something “just in case,” or is that just me being paranoid?
