Nailing The First Property Check: Finally Got The Green Light
Man, I hear you on the paperwork chaos. I used to swear by my old-school binder system—tabs for every project, receipts tucked in plastic sleeves, the whole nine yards. But after one too many times digging through a pile of faded thermal paper just to find a model number, I caved and started snapping pics of everything. Now my phone’s got more blueprints and paint codes than actual photos of my family.
Honestly, digital’s just easier when you’re knee-deep in a reno and need to double-check if you bought the right shut-off valve or whatever. Still, there’s something about having a hard copy for the big-ticket stuff—permits, warranties—that makes me feel a bit safer. Maybe it’s just habit at this point.
Either way, sounds like you’ve got a solid system going now. Losing stuff sucks, but at least it only happens once before you figure out what works for you... or at least that’s been my experience.
