Couldn’t agree more about the reliability factor. I’ve designed a few homes where clients insisted on voice assistants, and it’s always the same story—great in theory, but the moment there’s a party or kids running around, the system just gives up. Touch panels might not be flashy, but they’re consistent. Plus, you can actually design them to blend in or even look pretty sleek these days. Voice is fun for quick stuff, but if you want to control lighting scenes or security, I’d rather trust my finger than hope the mic picks me up over the dog barking.
