Trying to figure out what to do with my living room walls and I keep going back and forth between just painting one wall a bold color or going all-in with some funky patterned wallpaper. I love the idea of both but kinda worried wallpaper might be too much, or maybe the accent wall thing is getting old? Anyone tried both and have thoughts? Which one feels more “you” and why?

From a resale perspective (if that’s ever a concern), bold paint is easier to cover up than wallpaper. But I’ve seen plenty of spaces where a well-chosen wallpaper actually made the room feel more finished and intentional. Personally, I’d lean toward wallpaper if you’re willing to commit and pick something you genuinely love. Just avoid anything too trendy or loud unless you’re prepared to redo it in a couple years... trends move fast.
If you’re worried about going overboard, maybe try wallpapering a smaller area—like an alcove or behind built-ins—instead of a whole wall. That way you get some personality without it taking over the space.
