Cramped spaces and weird tile choices - anyone else?

- Been there with the “what’s under this tile?” anxiety. Last year, I tried to demo a tiny bathroom in my ‘60s ranch and hit three different subfloors - nightmare.
- Ended up going the epoxy route for the laundry room. Prep took forever, but honestly, it’s held up better than I expected.
- Not gonna lie, I miss the look of real tile sometimes, but not enough to deal with another week of dust and chaos.
- Agree on the “dustless” claim... my house still smelled like demo for days.

Epoxy’s tempting for the price, but I keep second-guessing if it’ll look too “industrial” in a small space. Did you do any fun colors or patterns, or just stick with basic gray? I’m torn between saving money and wanting something that feels cozy.

I get where you’re coming from. Did a small condo reno last year and went with a light sand-colored epoxy - surprisingly warm vibe, not cold at all. Patterns help too, even just a subtle swirl or fleck. Gray can feel a bit sterile unless you soften it up with rugs or wood accents.
