Totally agree with this—moisture is sneaky and relentless. Another tip I've found helpful is laying down a thin foam underlayment beneath laminate floors. It smooths out minor imperfections, adds cushioning, and helps block moisture from below. Plus, it makes the floor feel more luxurious underfoot... a nice bonus if you're aiming for that high-end feel without breaking the bank. Learned this trick after helping my sister redo her basement floor—still looks amazing two years later.
