I recently rearranged a few things in my kitchen and it's honestly made cooking way less stressful. Like, I moved all my spices into a shallow drawer right next to the stove instead of keeping them in a cabinet. Now I can actually see what I'm grabbing without knocking over half the bottles, lol. Also, putting hooks under the cabinets for mugs freed up a ton of shelf space. Curious if anyone else has some simple kitchen hacks they've stumbled onto by accident or trial and error?
One thing that really helped me was moving my cutting boards to a vertical rack inside a cabinet door. Before, they were stacked flat and I'd always have to dig through the pile to get the one I wanted. Now they're upright and easy to grab without causing an avalanche of kitchenware, lol.
Another accidental discovery was using a lazy susan in the fridge for condiments and jars. I used to lose track of stuff at the back until it expired, but now I just spin it around and can easily see everything. Definitely cut down on waste.
Also, if you haven't tried magnetic strips for knives yet, they're a game changer. Frees up drawer space and keeps knives sharper longer since they're not banging around against other utensils.
It's funny how these little tweaks can make such a big difference in daily cooking routines...
