My apartment complex recently redid all the sidewalks with these fancy decorative tiles. At first glance, they look pretty cool—like something you'd see in a trendy shopping district or something. But after walking on them for a couple weeks, I'm kinda annoyed. They're uneven, and some of them wobble just enough to make you feel like you're gonna trip every other step. Plus, when it rains, they're slippery as heck.
I mean, I get wanting things to look nice and all, but shouldn't functionality come first? I almost twisted my ankle yesterday carrying groceries because one tile shifted under my foot. Maybe I'm just clumsy or picky or whatever...but does anyone else have these decorative sidewalk tiles where they live? Are yours as annoying as mine or am I just unlucky here?
