Hardwired sconces definitely look sharp, but I always warn folks: once they’re in, you’re pretty much locked in unless you want to patch drywall later.

I get the concern about being “locked in,” but isn’t that kind of the point if you know your layout? I spent ages planning my bedroom and honestly, I like that the sconces don’t take up any table space. Plus, with smart bulbs and adjustable arms, you can still tweak the vibe a lot. Is flexibility really that big a deal if you’re not someone who moves furniture every year? Maybe I’m missing something...

Title: Shedding Some Light On Bedside Essentials

Totally with you—if you’ve put in the time to plan your space, hardwired sconces are a solid choice. The “locked in” argument gets tossed around a lot, but honestly, most people aren’t rearranging their bedrooms every few months. And yeah, freeing up that nightstand space is a game changer. I’ve had clients regret not going for wall lights just because they were worried about commitment. If you’re happy with your setup, I’d say you made the right call.
