Can we please stop scheduling face-to-face meetings for everything?

I dunno if it's just me, but lately it feels like every tiny issue at work turns into a full-blown in-person meeting. Like yesterday, we spent 45 minutes sitting around a table to discuss something that could've easily been handled in a quick email or chat message. Drives me nuts, you know? Feels like such a waste of time and energy commuting and setting up rooms for stuff that's honestly pretty minor. Anyone else frustrated by this trend?

I get the frustration, but sometimes those face-to-face meetings aren't just about efficiency. A quick email might handle the facts, sure, but meetings can help clarify nuances or catch misunderstandings early. Plus, there's value in reading body language or tone - stuff that's easily missed in text. Maybe the real issue isn't meetings themselves, but how they're planned and run... shorter, clearer agendas could make a big difference.
