How are draw inspection and reinspection fees usually charged?
Lender estimates can make draw costs hard to compare if one lists an inspection fee and another folds it into a broader processing charge. Do these fees typically cover the initial inspection, any repeat visit, and the paperwork, or might each be billed separately?
I’m also curious how a partial approval affects the charges. If an inspector approves only part of a request and another visit is needed after the remaining work is complete, is that commonly treated as a new inspection fee? What wording should I look for in the lender’s fee schedule to understand the potential total?

For a partial approval, check whether the fee schedule charges “per inspection” or “per draw request.” “Per inspection” can mean a return visit is billed separately; “per draw request” may cover more than one visit, though the lender’s terms should spell that out. That distinction can change the total if some work needs to be completed before the rest of the draw is approved.
