Totally agree with this. I’ve seen folks get so stressed trying to finish every last detail just to meet a loan deadline, and honestly, it can lead to mistakes or regrets later. Have you noticed lenders seem more open to partial completions if you’re transparent? I once had a lender accept photos and a contractor’s letter for unfinished landscaping—no drama, just clear communication. Wonder if anyone’s ever had pushback on bigger items, though... like flooring or cabinetry? That seems trickier.

That’s been my experience too, but only for the “pretty” stuff outside. When I tried to push for an extension on kitchen cabinets, the lender got real picky—apparently “functional kitchen” means more than just a sink and a microwave on a folding table. Guess they draw the line at anything that could stop you from actually living there.
