Why does my browser keep forgetting stuff?

I get that feeling - losing tabs can be brutal, especially when you’ve got a whole project mapped out in your head. I’ve started using cloud folders for my design mood boards and reference links, mostly because I got tired of re-tracing my steps after a sync hiccup. Still, browser sync is just so convenient when it works. Have you noticed if it loses data more often after updates or is it just random? I sometimes wonder if certain extensions mess with the process too... It’s a bit like rearranging a room and then forgetting where you put half your stuff - frustrating, but you keep hoping the next layout will finally stick.

I swear, browser sync is like a fancy smart home system - amazing when it works, but one glitch and suddenly the lights (or tabs) are gone. I’ve noticed sync hiccups right after updates too, especially if I’ve got a bunch of extensions running. Some of those “productivity” add-ons actually seem to scramble things more. My workaround is exporting bookmarks every so often, just in case. Not perfect, but at least it’s not a total tabocalypse if sync decides to redecorate without asking.

That’s been my experience too, especially with tab managers or anything that tries to “improve” how tabs are handled. I always wonder - are these extensions fighting each other behind the scenes? Like, one’s trying to save my session while another’s reorganizing it, and suddenly half my tabs are gone or duplicated.

Have you noticed if it’s certain types of extensions that trigger the sync weirdness, or is it just a numbers game? I sometimes think the browser just gets overwhelmed. After a big update, I’ll get those “sync paused” messages or random logouts, and then... poof, stuff disappears.

Exporting bookmarks is smart, though. I do something similar with open tabs - just in case. But honestly, shouldn’t sync be more reliable by now? Or maybe we’re just expecting too much from something that’s juggling so many moving parts.

Honestly, it really does feel like that sometimes. I started using fewer extensions after my browser started eating my passwords and tabs.
