Yeah, been there myself—woke up freezing after mine randomly switched to eco mode. Learned to double-check settings after updates. Still, can't deny the energy savings and convenience once you get past the quirks...

True, but those quirks can really test your patience at first. Mine decided it knew my schedule better than I did and kept turning itself down right when I was pulling an all-nighter working on a project—talk about feeling betrayed by technology, haha. Still, once you get the hang of tweaking the settings and anticipating its "smart" moves, it really does help shave a noticeable chunk off the monthly bills. I'd say they're worth it overall, especially if you're budget-conscious and don't mind a bit of occasional thermostat taming...

Haha, I feel your pain there. Mine once decided to crank up the heat while we were away for the weekend—came home to a sauna and a not-so-friendly energy bill. But you're right, once you figure out its quirks and fine-tune the settings, it really does pay off in comfort and savings. Definitely worth sticking with it through the initial frustrations...

Mine pulled a similar stunt—decided I was "away" while I was quietly reading in the living room and dropped the temp way down. Took me a good half hour to realize why I was suddenly freezing, haha. Honestly, I'm still a bit skeptical about how "smart" these thermostats really are, but I'll admit they've saved me some cash after tweaking the settings. Guess it's just about finding that sweet spot between convenience and control...

Had something similar happen to me—thermostat decided I wasn't home while I was binge-watching a show in the den. Took me forever to figure out why my toes were turning numb, lol. Honestly though, once you get past these quirks and set up your own schedules and zones, they're pretty decent. Still not convinced they're as "smart" as advertised, but they definitely add a little luxury and convenience if you're patient enough to tinker around with them.
