WHERE DOES ALL THE MONEY GO IN A NEW BUILD PROJECT?
Funny you mention the “standard” fixtures—those always seem to be the first thing people want to upgrade, and it’s never as cheap as it looks on paper. Have you tried keeping a detailed spreadsheet for all the little extras? It’s tedious, but it’s helped some of my clients spot where things are creeping up. As for eco-upgrades, I get the hesitation, but sometimes local incentives or grants can tip the balance. Worth checking if your area offers anything like that.
