Man, I totally relate to that—when we started building our place, I obsessed over every single measurement. My partner kept telling me, “It’s a house, not a spaceship.” I’d double-check the humidity, too, and then by the time I got around to making the cut, things had shifted. Sometimes you just have to accept a little imperfection or you’ll never get anywhere. Funny how the “mistakes” usually end up being things only I notice anyway...

I get where you’re coming from, but I dunno… sometimes those “little” imperfections drive me nuts later. Like, I notice when a cabinet’s off by a few millimeters, even if no one else does. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the details matter, especially when you’re putting so much into a place.
